Who has a great online master’s degree program?

Would love to hear from your experience with online master degrees program and your success or nightmare stories.

I was looking into Keller Graduate School of Management but also looking into other school. My interest is in Information System and want to continue in that path.

California State University, Fullerton offers an online M.S. in Information Technology, as well an M.S. in a related field (like Info systems but can’t quite remember).

I’d totally check it out if I were you.

Is Keller part of DeVry? DeVry is way more expensive and at CSUF it will be cheaper and you will get a great education.

Good luck in what you choose!

There are a lot of great master’s programs out there but I think that most would agree that the one with the prestige of the highest ranking university would be:

An online Master of Studies (MSt) in International Human Rights Law at Oxford (yes, THE Oxford). There aren’t too many colleges out there that rank up with Oxford. http://humanrightslaw.conted.ox.ac.uk/MStIHRL/

You can complete a master’s at Harvard extension with a substantial online component but you’ll have to take some classes in Boston…

Duke University offers their world-class MBA online. Stanford offers world-class engineering online. Johns-Hopkins (tops in the field) offers a Master of Public Health online. Boston University offers both the MMus and MusD in education online – truly world-class.

Those are just a few of the great online master’s programs out there. In information systems how about a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Information Technology from none other than Harvard University. http://www.extension.harvard.edu/2007-08/programs/it/masters/

If Harvard is a touch out of reach, Virginia Tech is pretty well respected too: http://www.vto.vt.edu/progdesc.php?id=mit

Carnegie Melon is well up there on the "wow, you went to…" ladder too. http://ism.cmu.edu/Distance-Learning/index.asp

If you were to run a Google search on "online master’s information technology" you’d find some awesome options available with a reputation far higher than Keller (a division of DeVry) and they might even be cheaper. Some will be much cheaper. They might be pretty hard though – but then, who wants a degree that was easy to get. ☺
